About the event
Participants of the Making Strides Walk of Tampa Bay can enjoy a seamless and spirited morning at Raymond James Stadium, with free parking available in several lots, including the recommended HCC Parking Lot across Dale Mabry, where officers will assist with safe crossings. The festival area opens at 7:00 AM with music, vendors, and opportunities to connect before the 2.5-mile walk begins at 9:00 AM. We will arrive between 8:15 and 8:30 AM. Walkers may start anytime before 9:45 AM—no check-in required!
For safety, bicycles, skateboards, and animals are not permitted on the route, though strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring sunscreen, hats, and weather-appropriate attire—the event happens rain or shine, with water available at two rest stops along the way. Only hand-held team signage is permitted, and promotional materials are restricted to pre-approved sponsors.
