About the event
A powerful community forum dedicated to understanding the disparities affecting Black mothers and exploring pathways to safer, more equitable care. This gathering brings together healthcare professionals, advocates, and families for open dialogue, resource sharing, and collective action. Centering the lived experiences of Black mothers, the event offers practical information and tools to support healthier pregnancies, births, and postpartum journeys. The program will also highlight HB 1029, a recent Florida proposal aimed at strengthening maternal health through expanded home‑visiting services, improved educational materials, and increased access to blood pressure monitors for expectant mothers.
